Hi all,
I just got back from the PPC Photography Convention in Pasadena California. All I can say is education is the key to elevating one's work to new heights. Let's talk about inspiring one to capture new unique images. O.K. lets say WOW, get my camera so I can try some of these great things I learned. I firmly believe that all these seminars and conventions keep my photography fresh. So stay tuned to see what is to come!

Awarded Photographer of the Year 2008 by the Professional photographers of Santa Clara Valley (PPSCV)
I (Annie, AKA AK Rowland) was awarded "photographer of the Year 2008 by the Professional Photographers of Santa Clara Valley." This is the second year in a row that I have been awarded this honor. The award is given to the professional photographer with the highest score accumulated from the 6 print competitions throughout the year held by PPSCV, an affiliate of Professional Photographers of California (PPC) and Professional Photographers of America (PPA), of which I am a member of both.

1st Place Unclassified image of the year
1st Place Wedding image of the year
2nd Place Wedding image of the year
3rd Place Environmental image of the year.
Shocked and thrilled to achieve all these awards for my work in 2008, I can only hope all my clients view my work as highly as does PPSCV.
A.K. Rowland Photography is based in Santa Cruz. My boutique Studio is located in the historic Branciforte Plaza at 555 Soquel Ave Suite #190, down the hall from Ristorante Italiano. (Which has yummy Italian food that smells great and drives me crazy when I work late.)
